Book Club: Tuesday, July 14th at 2:00 pm. This month we'll be discussing, “James,” by Percival Everett. It is a brilliant re-telling of “The Adventures of Huck Finn.” When Jim overhears that he is about to be sold to a man in New Orleans, and separated from his family, he runs away. He meets up with Huck, and they both take a raft down the Mississippi River. It’s one of American literature’s most famous journeys, but this time we get Jim’s point of view. To get a copy and register, call 570-894-8860 or email joe@poconolibrary.org. Registration required. Adults and 18 & over.

Meditation Workshop: Fridays, July 17th & 31st at 2:30pm. Feeling stressed out? Consider joining Bev for a great meditation session at PMPL.  She will focus on basic techniques for deep breathing, visualization, and relaxation while participants sit in a chair for comfort.  It’s wonderful for health and well-being, and especially good for all the stressed-out moms.
