"Art by Brenda Hellwig"

This exhibit showcases the colorful and delightful arts of Brenda Hellwig. She writes:
Living in the tranquil Pocono Mountains where beautiful nature abounds, there is ample opportunity for reflection - especially during the winter! Art gives me a purpose in life at this stage when I am retired.
When I paint, I start with several different materials and techniques. It's a bit like putting together a puzzle. At first it may seem chaotic, but piece by piece a picture is created. Paper, paint, markers, and prints are layered throughout the painting process and the painting develops layer by layer.
I am inspired by color more than anything else, and make art primarily because I enjoy the process. Vibrant colors inspire my imagination and make the creative process exciting!
Artists who would like to exhibit at The Mountain Gallery should contact the Library Director, Ann Shincovich, at
ann@poconolibrary.org or 570-894-8860 x5 to get more information.
The library only accepts art that is framed with wire on the back, and exhibits on a two month schedule.
The gallery can hold 8 - 10 very large pieces, or up to 28 smaller works. We use the Walker System for hanging exhibits.
The artist is responsible for hanging art and for any reception they wish to have. Please ask if you have any questions at all.
The Mountain Gallery has exhibited many fine shows by local and regional artists.
