PBS Learning Media

These days all of us are looking for new, quality information and learning - families with kids learning at home and stuck at home need a boost more than ever!

PMPL is happy to show you the PBS Learning Media portal. We are very lucky to be sandwiched in between two really excellent PBS channels: WVIA serving Wilkes-Barre & Scranton and PBS39 serving the Lehigh Valley. I regularly watch Nova and Nature!

Pennsylvania PBS has been working in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Education to support learning during this time when many are outside the traditional classroom.

Visit https://wvia.pbslearningmedia.org/ to find a variety of subjects and grade level videos and activities. Some adults may even be interested to do some extra learning for the fun of it! It's going to be a long winter, so it's always good to have extra quality edu-tainment that anyone can get on their TV, antenna, or via their favorite computer or device!!

Explore and share Pennsylvania PBS Resources designed to support students who are Learning at Home:

  • Download weekly activities for children and teens—many can be printed and reproduced for your take and make library programs.

  • View or print the December calendar

  • Promote the Family Night: Coding on December 10 to your patrons. Print a flyer (see attached) or write a post for your social media.

  • Educator Resources include: Support Our Schools, 10 days of grade level standard programs with printable activity packets.
